For over 30 years, while teaching, I've enjoyed seeing students thrive using relevant audio and video production platforms to express themselves creatively.  My career experiences include radio DJ, sportscasting and audio production, TV production, freelance video editing, music performances, and live sound.  Currently I teach Music/Sound Production and help manage our student radio station, WJEL.  Outside of school, I enjoy time with family, golfing, and anything involving the Smokey Mountains.

If you like to work with video, audio, pictures or music I'm the JEL teacher for you. I have 15 years experience in the Television industry, 3 Emmy Awards, a Butler University BA in Telecommunication Arts and a lifelong love of making film, video and music. Outside of school, I have a lovely wife and 3 kids between the ages of 1 and 11.

I am ecstatic to be returning to the JEL family as an educator. As a 2013 North Central Graduate, I got my start in production by taking a class in the JEL digital media arts department. I also was able to host two weekly radio shows on WJEL, and sportscast for basketball and football games. I then graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelors in Telecommunications with a concentration in Digital Audio, and a History minor. After that, I spent two years with WGEM-TV, the NBC affiliate in Quincy, Illinois. I am now teaching Music-Sound Production at the satellite program at Fishers High School. When I'm not teaching, I love discovering new music and sharing it with my wife Emily, and our cat Virginia. (Named after the Train classic "Meet Virginia".
