NTHS the acknowledged leader in the recognition of outstanding student achievement in career and technical education.

Thousands of schools and colleges throughout the U.S. and its territories have a chapter of the honor society on their campus. These member schools agree that NTHS encourages higher scholastic achievement, cultivates a desire for personal excellence, and helps top students find success in today's highly competitive workplace.

NTHS awards an increasing number of scholarships each year toits members.

Requirements for membership-

  • Nomination from their instructor based on the following:
  • B+ or better in their Career and Technical Education Class
  • Minimum of a 2.5  overall GPA
  • Maximum of 5 absences per semester
  • Leadership qualities

After being nominated, students were given an application packet that had to be completed which included-

  • A personal information sheet
  • A copy of their transcript
  • List of activities that they have been or are currently
  • involved with
  • 2 letters of recommendation from individuals other than
  • their instructor
