The Health Occupations Program has a two-fold objective; it prepares students for entry-level certified nursing assistant (CNA) positions in health care facilities. The students will learn 48 patient care skills along with required classroom and clinical hours required to sit for the Indiana State Certified Nurses Aide exam. The class will also provide an exploration of the various careers in the health care industry. In addition, this course provides an academic foundation
in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, infection control, human growth and development, and communication. To allow for real world working experience, students way be allowed to have nonpaid and apply for paid internships to see what they have learned and see health care professionals in action.
