Firefighter 1 & 2

The Firefighting course prepares you with the skills necessary to join a fire department. Opportunities exist to ride with the area fire department and gain actual experience with fire house and riding on apparatus while determining if this is a career for you. Protecting lives and property is the core of the curriculum. If you like helping others in a time of need or crisis, this is a great profession with priceless rewards.

  • One year program, three hours per day
  • Prerequisite: none
  • Related College or Technical School Majors: Firefighting
  • Supply cost to student: Approximately $125 for uniform and other supplies.
