Emergency Medical Technician

Would you like the ability to help others in a time of medical need? Would it be great to know what to do is someone were suffering from an allergic reaction, respiratory distress, or possibly a heart attack? The EMT-B program provides a year long program teaching such skills as these and gives you the confidence to act times of these emergency’s.

Want to ride on an Ambulance, Fire Truck or work in the Emergency Room at the hospital?
These are all opportunities given to EMT students.

Certifications Possible
Upon completion of course, a skill proficiency exam, and state written examination, a State of Indiana Department of Homeland Security an EMT-B Certification is issued. National Certification is also available.

About EMT

The EMT-B course allows you to investigate various areas of the hospital while gaining your state certification. Whether it is Emergency Medicine on the street or in the Emergency Room, you can visit other areas of the hospital and see where your interest and desires really lie. Is it Nursing School and working in the hospital, maybe Medical School and become a doctor, or maybe Radiology and working in the X-Ray Department.
