JEL Program

This program provides a strong foundation in both business and technology skills that are common in modern office settings. It combines basic business concepts and standard applications training with technical skills in the area of hardware fundamentals, networking fundamentals, and operating systems.

This curriculum provides students with the skills necessary to start their careers in information technology as systems support personnel

A Sample of First Year Activities/Topics

  • Learn the normal operation of PC operating systems and various computer applications, build a PC from its component assemblies, install a variety of network operating systems,
    repair or replace problematic computer parts, correct mis-configured software and troubleshoot network problems with system utilities.
  • A Sample of Second Year Activities/ Topics

  • Install WIN2003 server, Implement WSUS server, setup multiple web-sites within IIS, manage domain users and use RIS to upgrade clients
