One or two year program, three hours per day Prerequisite: none Related College or Technical School Majors: Auto Service Technician, Industrial Management, Engineering Job Opportunities: Automotive dealership (service, parts), Independent Repair Garages, aftermarket companies specializing in part production and marketing The course is recognized by the National Automotive Training and Education Foundation (NATEF) as a Master program and teaches entry level skills in Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). During the first year of this program, students will study four of the eight areas described below. In the second year, students will study the other four areas.
Supply cost to student: The cost of work clothes, work shoes and safety glasses It is possible to also earn college credits from Ivy Tech State College and/or Universal Tech for this class. Many post-secondary programs grant credit for specific NATEF certified course units completed at the high school level |
