GED - General Educational Development
Testing
The J.
Everett Light Career Center is an official General Educational Development (GED)
Testing Center authorized by the Indiana Department of Education. Applicants
should register 14 - 21 days prior to testing (all documentation and payment
must be received at time of registration).
Qualifications
for the GED exam include:
Age minimum of 17 years (All 17-year-olds must present an Exit Interview from an Indiana high school and
successfully pass a Pre-GED Test. (Pre-GED
test fee - $10 - Call Adult Education
office to schedule).
Indiana residency requirement of 30 days.
Provide three forms of identification. All three forms of ID must be state and/or federally issued and at least one must be a picture ID.

(retakes - $12 each test)
Special
accommodation applications are available for candidates with documented physical
and/or learning disabilities. Also, special editions in Spanish and French are
available upon request. Please contact the Adult Education office for further
information.
